North Carolina Minority Business Enterprise Center (MBEC)

The NC Minority Business Enterprise Center (MBEC) is a federally-funded program by the U. S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and operated by the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development. The Institute has been dedicated to serving MBEs in North Carolina for over 20 years. Our commitment and dedication will continue as we provide financial and technical assistance to MBEs with continued efforts in education, training, marketing and procurement. South Carolina Minority Business Enterprise Center (MBEC)

South Carolina Minority Business Enterprise Center (SCMBEC) is part of a national network that was established to increase the growth, strength and profitability of minority-owned businesses and to create new jobs for South Carolina. Our professional consultants offer a wide range of services that include initial counseling, government/private sector contracting assistance, financial management and more complex issues such as international trade franchising. South Carolina Business One Stop or SCBOS is the official South Carolina business web portal. It enables anyone with an existing business or anyone starting a new business to file permits, licenses, registrations, or pay taxes. From the convenience of your computer at anytime, 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, you can take care of your important state filings, and pay for multiple filings and/or taxes with one credit, debit, or EFW payment.

Michelin Development

Michelin Development Upstate, SC is a job creation program, which focuses on social and/or economically disadvantaged businesses in 10 upstate counties. Working in conjunction with regional development agencies, local government and business support agencies, Michelin Development in North America is focused on stimulating employment in a variety of ways. Michelin Development also offers support such as loans, advice and financial literacy education to new start-up, or small businesses up to 100 employees. To date Michelin Development Upstate has awarded 35 loans with a total amount invested of $2,077,610 and 672 potential jobs created. For more information, click here
